Up the Potters! Validating returns on Stokenet

It's been a long time coming. Since the demise of the Radix Betanet, we've been eagerly waiting with anticipation, the arrival of 'Stokenet', the persistent test network which will live alongside the Radix mainnet. Stokenet is a nod to Stoke-on-Trent, famed for it's pottery industry and of course for being the birthplace of Radix!

Unlike Betanet, Stokenet is built using the same codebase as the Radix Olympia mainnet, which gives us a great opportunity to test our hardware and tune our procedures for ensuring a high quality service for stakers at mainnet.

We're pleased to announce that we're now back up and running, validating on Stokenet with a shiny new node. The release of Stokenet has been a herculean task for the Radix team, with a huge number of updates and improvements over the Betanet release. Fortunately for our stakers, the differences will be mainly unseen, aside from a change in format for our node address on the new test network. A new version of the wallet has also been released, allowing the community to continue to test the staking functionality. The procedure for staking remains unchanged from Beta, so if you would like to continue test staking with us on Stokenet, feel free to download the new wallet software and stake to us using the following Radstakes node address:

With the arrival of Stokenet, a new explorer is also now available. Here's a link to the new Stokenet explorer where you are able to query transactions and also check the list of Validators:

Further updates are expected for mainnet to give further information to stakers such as uptime, validator fees and owner's delegation so you will be fully armed with all the information necessary to make an informed choice on who to delegate your precious stake to!

With mainnet just over a week away, we'll be using this time to ensure that our systems and procedures are robust, so we'll be ready to hit the ground running and accept delegated stake as soon as possible after launch.

As usual, we're on hand to answer any questions you have - you can find us on the usual Radix social channels such as Telegram and Discord, or send us a message directly through the website and we'll be happy to help!
